Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the residential roofing services provided by JK Stevens Roofing, Inc. ("JK Stevens Roofing," "we," "us," or "our") to homeowners in Central Florida. By requesting a quote, engaging us for services, or otherwise using our website, you agree to these Terms.
Residential Roofing Services
JK Stevens Roofing, Inc. provides residential roofing services including roof replacement, re-roofing, roof repair, leak detection and repair, tile roofing, metal roofing, chimney and flashing repairs, and roofing solutions for historic and existing homes. The specific scope of work for any project is defined in the applicable project agreement or quote.
Inspections and Assessments
Roofing projects generally begin with an inspection and assessment of the property's roofing system. Assessments are based on visible and reasonably accessible conditions at the time of inspection and are used to inform our recommendations and quotes.
Quotes and Estimates
Quotes and estimates are prepared based on the information available at the time of inspection. Estimates are not guarantees of final cost, and actual project costs may vary if conditions differ from what was identified during the initial assessment.
Project Agreements
Work will proceed under a project agreement or accepted quote that outlines the scope of work, materials, pricing, and timeline. Any work outside the scope of the agreed project agreement is treated as a change in scope, as described below.
Invoice-Based Payments
Payment for services is invoice-based. Invoices are issued in accordance with the terms outlined in the project agreement, and payment is due according to the terms stated on each invoice.
Deposits and Milestone Payments
Some projects may require a deposit prior to the start of work or milestone payments tied to specific stages of the project. Any deposit or milestone payment terms will be specified in the project agreement prior to work beginning.
Changes to Project Scope
If conditions discovered during the project require work beyond the original scope, we will communicate the proposed change with the homeowner before proceeding. Additional work performed as a result of a scope change may affect the project cost and timeline.
Existing or Concealed Roof Conditions
Some roofing conditions, such as deck damage, structural issues, or prior improper installation, are not visible until existing roofing materials are removed. JK Stevens Roofing, Inc. is not responsible for pre-existing or concealed conditions that were not reasonably identifiable during the initial inspection, and any additional work needed to address such conditions will be handled as a change in project scope.
Cancellations
Homeowners may request to cancel a scheduled project or service. Cancellation terms, including any impact on deposits already paid, will be addressed in accordance with the applicable project agreement.
Scheduling and Weather Delays
Roofing work is weather-dependent. Project timelines may be adjusted due to weather conditions, material availability, or other factors outside of our control. We will communicate any significant scheduling changes to the homeowner.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, JK Stevens Roofing, Inc.'s liability arising from the roofing services provided is limited to the value of the services performed under the applicable project agreement. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the services provided, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.
Governing Law
These Terms and any services provided by JK Stevens Roofing, Inc. are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
